  • Your Day, Your Way

You control the voyage on your charter and dictate your dream day, not our company, allowing for multiple activities not just a specific one and a day filled with your dream itinerary.

  • Only The Best Captains

Being we don't employ the captains directly, we open ourselves to not being tied to someone. We only select the top captains in the area to put on our pre-approved list, which leaves you the selection of the best captains in the area to join your charterers.

  • Large Charter Capacity

Due to the foreign built vessels SeaEO exclusively uses, it forces the largest allowable non-COI charter capacity. That allows you, the crew, and 12 of your guests to join you on your voyage!

Why people LOVE SeaEO

How many guests can join a private Marathon boat charter?

SeaEO charters are designed for groups of up to 13 people in the charter party - the charterer plus up to 12 guests - in addition to the captain and any crew. That makes a Marathon charter a strong option for couples, families and larger groups without moving to a large commercial tour boat.

What is included in the charter price?

Your Marathon booking covers the private use of the selected SeaEO vessel and its listed onboard amenities for the reserved charter time. SeaEO’s Axopar 37 fleet includes features such as a bathroom, Bluetooth audio, enclosed cabin space, sunpads and a small cooler/refrigeration area. Fuel is not included, and captain payment is handled separately under SeaEO’s demise-charter structure. Exact inclusions and add-ons are shown during booking.

Is fuel included in the cost of the charter?

No. Fuel is separate from the listed Marathon charter price. SeaEO tracks fuel used during the trip and discloses typical fuel costs during booking; the final amount varies with charter length, cruising speed, route and the number of longer-distance stops you choose. This structure allows the itinerary to stay flexible rather than limiting the trip to reduce fuel use.

Can we bring alcohol, food, and drinks aboard?

Yes. SeaEO allows alcohol, food, drinks and snacks aboard its Marathon charters, and the website also lists glass bottles as permitted. Guests are responsible for consuming alcohol safely and following the captain’s directions at all times.

What should we bring for snorkeling or swimming?

SeaEO recommends bringing drinks, food or snacks, sunscreen and towels, plus snorkel gear if you plan to get in the water. Wear comfortable clothing suited to the weather and bring a swimsuit if swimming is part of your plan. The boat provides enclosed space and onboard amenities, but packing for sun, wind and time in the water will make the day more comfortable.

What happens if weather changes our planned itinerary?

Safety and the quality of the trip come first. If weather, wind, tides or sea conditions make the planned Marathon itinerary unsuitable, your captain may modify the route or activity plan. The captain may adjust the route, timing or activities to find the best available experience in the conditions. If the operator has to cancel the trip, SeaEO’s policy provides for rescheduling or a refund/credit under the applicable booking terms.

Can we snorkel at Sombrero Reef?

Yes, a snorkeling trip to Sombrero Reef can be considered as part of a custom Marathon itinerary when charter length, weather, tides, water depth, local rules and docking/anchoring conditions allow. SeaEO’s trips are intentionally flexible, so the captain can help decide whether that stop fits naturally into the day. SeaEO includes Sombrero Reef among Marathon’s standout water destinations. As with any reef run, the captain will confirm conditions, visibility and applicable sanctuary rules before committing to the stop.

Can we cruise around the Seven Mile Bridge?

Yes, a sightseeing cruise around the Seven Mile Bridge area can be considered as part of a custom Marathon itinerary when charter length, weather, tides, water depth, local rules and docking/anchoring conditions allow. SeaEO’s trips are intentionally flexible, so the captain can help decide whether that stop fits naturally into the day. It is one of the Middle Keys’ signature landmarks and can be paired with other Marathon-area activities when time allows.

Can we visit Bahia Honda by private boat?

Yes, a trip toward Bahia Honda and its surrounding waters can be considered as part of a custom Marathon itinerary when charter length, weather, tides, water depth, local rules and docking/anchoring conditions allow. SeaEO’s trips are intentionally flexible, so the captain can help decide whether that stop fits naturally into the day. SeaEO’s Marathon content highlights Bahia Honda State Park waters as a scenic option for snorkeling and family-friendly exploration.

What sandbars or shallow-water areas can we visit near Marathon?

SeaEO’s Marathon guide highlights Valhalla Sandbar and Molasses Key Sandbar as two shallow-water options in the Middle Keys. Which one fits best depends on your starting point, tide, wind and the other stops you want to include, so the captain will finalize the route around conditions.

Can we combine snorkeling, fishing, and sightseeing during one charter?

Yes. SeaEO’s model is built around multi-activity charters, so a Marathon trip can combine activities such as cruising, swimming, snorkeling, fishing or a sandbar stop rather than forcing your group into one fixed tour. The captain will sequence the day around conditions, travel time and any fishing or protected-area regulations that apply.

Can we book a private sunset cruise from Marathon?

Yes. A private sunset cruise is a natural fit for a Marathon charter and is one of SeaEO’s commonly offered charter styles. Because the trip is private, the captain can shape the route around the best available evening views, weather and water conditions while keeping the pace relaxed for your group.

How long should we book to explore the Middle Keys?

SeaEO offers multiple charter durations, generally ranging from shorter 2-hour outings to longer full-day options depending on location and boat availability. For Marathon, 2-4 hours works well for sightseeing or sunset, while 4-6+ hours gives more flexibility for swimming, dining or multiple destination stops. Check current booking options for the exact durations available on your date.
