From November 19–23, 2026, Fort Myers Beach hosts the 36th American Sand Sculpting Championship on the sand behind DiamondHead Beach Resort (2000 Estero Blvd). Hours are 10 a.m.–5 p.m. daily, and this year’s theme is “Stars, Stripes & Sand: Sculpting the American Story.”
Master and advanced amateur sculptors turn the beach into a gallery of towering sand art, with an amateur competition, Quick Sand demos, live entertainment, food and drink vendors, and a kids’ sand play area. It is one of the island’s biggest beach weekends, and an easy one to pair with a private charter: cruise Matanzas Pass or Estero Bay, step ashore for the sculptures, then finish the day back on the water.
