Hemingway Days

Hemingway Days

Celebrate the life and legacy of Key West’s most famous resident at the 45th Annual Hemingway Days, a five-day festival blending literature, adventure, and island humor. From July 22 to 26, 2026, the island transforms into a tribute to "Papa" with iconic events like the Hemingway Look-Alike Contest at Sloppy Joe’s Bar and the whimsical Running of the Bulls on Duval Street. High-stakes anglers can compete in the Key West Marlin Tournament, while athletes take on the Hemingway 5K Sunset Run and Paddleboard Race.

The celebration also honors Hemingway’s literary side with book signings and the Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition, alongside rum tastings and street fairs. It is a quintessential Key West experience that captures the bold, adventurous spirit of the legendary author.
