Saturday, February 8th

  • 8:00am: Beach opens for setup and rigging

FAQs

Can anyone participate in the events?
The event is free for spectators! Bring your own beach chair or use the picnic tables provided. Get an elevated perspective from our host, The Sandbar Rooftop or join the VIP lounge for $100. Riders must register in advance for $35 per event per person.

Is there a limit to how many events I can enter?
There is no limit to the number of events you can enter. The more events you enter, the better your chances of winning since points from all events are totaled at the end of the weekend.

What happens if there is no wind?
If there is no wind, the event will be rescheduled to February 16th - 18th. If the Wind Games are canceled for lack of wind, any registrations are refundable as store credit.

Can I bring the whole family?
We welcome families and kids of all ages!

Do you offer instruction?
We offer instruction at Otherside Boardsports. While instructors will not be available at the event, you can book lessons before or after by calling (305) 853-9728.

Will there be food and beverage?
Our gracious hosts, The SandBar Rooftop, will offer libations and delicious handheld eats starting with breakfast and continuing throughout the Games. A full menu and sit-down dining is also available at SandBar Rooftop, Wahoos Bar and Grill, or the Seafood Buffet.
Note: Absolutely no outside food or beverage will be permitted.

Will there be Alligators at Alligator Reef Lighthouse?
No, alligators live in fresh water. Alligator Reef Lighthouse is named after the U.S.S Alligator, a navy schooner that sank in 1822. In 2021, the iconic structure was decommissioned, and the community is rallying to restore it. 100% of rider registration for the race around the Lighthouse will be donated to the restoration project.
