WaterJAM 2025 Returns to Virginia Beach

WaterJAM 2025 Returns to Virginia Beach

A Leading Industry Event, Right Here on the Coast

This September, Virginia Beach will welcome hundreds of professionals from across the state for WaterJAM 2025: a four-day conference focused on drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and environmental stewardship across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic.

WaterJAM will take place at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, just blocks from the oceanfront. It’s hosted by the Virginia Section of the American Water Works Association (VA AWWA) and the Virginia Water Environment Association (VWEA), two long-standing organizations working to support safe, sustainable water infrastructure and operations.

Whether you’re a returning attendee or considering your first trip, this is the event many in the water profession count on each year to stay informed, make connections, and get inspired.

See here for more details, full agenda, and registration information.

What to Expect at WaterJAM 2025

WaterJAM is Virginia’s largest annual gathering of water, wastewater, and stormwater professionals. The 2025 event, held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center from September 7–11, brings together public and private sector experts from across the state for a week of collaboration, training, and networking.

Attendees can expect:

  • 150+ technical sessions and workshops exploring everything from PFAS and biosolids management to cybersecurity, resiliency planning, asset management, and regulatory compliance

  • Dedicated learning tracks for utility operations, engineering, laboratory services, stormwater management, and utility leadership—making it easy to tailor your experience

  • A robust continuing education program, with CEUs, PDHs, and operator training hours available for licensed professionals and operators (credits approved by DEQ and DPOR)

  • A large Exhibit Hall featuring product demos, equipment showcases, and face-to-face access to vendors, consultants, and technology providers

  • Student and young professional programming, including mentoring sessions, resume reviews, competitions, and career development events

  • VA AWWA and VWEA committee meetings, section updates, and recognition events

  • Evening receptions, socials, and off-site networking events, giving attendees space to connect in a more relaxed setting

Whether you’re presenting research, looking to fulfill licensing requirements, walking the exhibit hall, or connecting with colleagues all over, WaterJAM offers a well-rounded mix of education and community.

It’s designed for professionals at all stages, from operators and engineers to students and senior leadership.
